The Waste Game serves as an innovative online educational tool aimed at instilling waste prevention and recycling knowledge. In response to persistent challenges in waste management on university campuses, particularly concerning students' inadequate waste segregation, The Waste Game was meticulously designed following thorough stakeholder interviews, literature reviews, and waste audits. This gamified approach, created in collaboration with leading Irish universities and stakeholders, offers an interactive and engaging experience for players. Structured around the waste hierarchy framework, the game employs gamification and behavioural techniques to encourage sustainable practices. Through an overarching narrative, interactive dialogue, social comparisons, and rewards, players are incentivized to progress and commit to waste reduction and recycling. Trialled through a randomized control trial across participating universities, The Waste Game demonstrated significant effectiveness in improving waste prevention and recycling behaviours.

Working with Water is a turn-based strategy web game helping teach students about developing and maintaining a sustainable water supply system in the Central Coast.
The game takes place in the Central Coast of Australia where the need for clean drinking water increases as the community grows, and the player is responsible for building new infrastructures to meet the increased demand.
